100 DAYS!

Whoa Whoa Whoa- 100 days till I have to do this thang! Good thing I spun (span? spinned?) my booty off teaching tonight! (didn't make it to the pool though). Quads are sore from yesterday's walk/run.
I need to get myself to the bike store this weekend to get some pedal clip things put on my bike!
Gotta get back to The Office!

Run around

I do not like to run. I physically can't do it very well or for very long (I've said this probably a dozen times on here). But today I made myself since I am cutting it pretty close to when I have to do this tri. Well, I walked/ran. But it was a little over 4 mile loop. My goal was an hour and I finished in 55 minutes. I know that's alot of time, but I'm not a runner and I haven't been running at all in the past few weeks.
I have a lot of work to do in that area!

Taught spin Monday and Tuesday and have to again tomorrow. I might try to sneak in a swim tomorrow morning or Friday morning.

The serious training MUST. START. NOW. (or I will not finish the race!!!)

Biker chick

That's me- this week and next anyways. I rode three times this week- twice indoors and once outside. I tried for another time outside, but the hubby had a flat and my training partner did too...by the time hubby got his fixed and we got the bikes on the rack and drove to the lake, and the training partner walked hers to Walmart to buy a pump, it was too late. The minute we got the bikes off the rack and our helmets on, it started to torrential down pour! argh!!! And there have been tornado warnings every since so today was my first day out. Next week I'm teaching 3 nights, so I'll try to throw in a ride outside over the weekend. And I've got to go to the pool. Maybe next Thursday. This weekend is out b/c I"m headed out of town again! Last week was Philly for work and Vegas for fun, and this weekend is NY to visit my bro and my BFFs. Pretty much 1/2 of my fav people live there- I used to too but these days I prefer to visit ;) I'm a sub-uban girl. Love the city but only for the weekend!

So big news since my last post! I was accepted into grad school for public health! WOOO HOOO! I seriously thought it wouldn't happen. I got rejected from my back up program for god's sake. But, somehow my first choice wants me. So here I go! Two weeks before the tri , I'll be back in school!

So I rode just under 6 miles today. It wasn't "hard" per say but I was glad when I was done. I drove my route after to confirm the mileage and all I could think as I passed the 3 mile mark was "There's no way I can run this far." Which is scary. Maybe once I get special shoes it will be easier. Here's hopin'!
